Applications of the electromagnetic drive

We are using an innovative electromagnetic drive for the stirrer, which differs from the commonly used magnetic drives. The main distinction of our drive from traditional one is that it has no rotating parts outside the vessel. The experience of using the electromagnetic drive in our bioreactors shows following advantages:

1. Good sterilisation conditions due to the fact, that the vessel of the bioreactor is fully hermetical, without sealing glands for the center shaft.
2. Easy to disassemble, wash and clean - the rotor together with mixers can be taken out from the vessel with one hand movement
3. Easy operating during the fermentation, because no rotating parts are on the outside of the bioreactors vessel
4. Rotating without noise
5. Wide range of mixer rotation speed: 20 - 1250 rpm.

We have applied the electromagnetic drive in our 5 and 30 liter laboratory bioreactors.

We are planning also the application of the electromagnetic drive in industrial reactors.
